  1. Sometimes you just got to flex on the groundlings
  2. With the new patch, I had an idea for a Battle Axe/ Psychic Armor Brute: Piece of Mind. I don't intend to claim it if anyone likes it!
  3. Perhaps its a philosophical thing? They considered themselves strong enough on their own to invade the planet before being repulsed by Earth's heroes.
  4. One group that should get some updates for Level 50 is the Lost given that they are part of the Ritiki's infiltration of Paragon
  5. The only temp powers I really use are the jetpacks since I usually don't take flight as a power pool.
  6. You make some good points here and I will admit your knowledge of comic books is better than mine.
  7. Honestly even Lord Recluse doesn't care about the RIPD, he uses them as the bare minimum to keep the peace and maybe serve as a test for up and coming villians. If he wants something done he will get Arachnos troopers to do it. If there is an upgrade to the RIPD it would be Arachnos troopers being sent in as a cover for something.
  8. Or as another talking point, what about Silver age or Bronze age?
  9. Awhile back I posted a thread asking people what they would do to bring CoH to the modern day. I wanted to go the opposite direction and see what people thought about a Golden Age version of Paragon set in the 1930's. If so what would you like to see in terms of powers, villian groups, etc.?
  10. One thing I think is a problem with super-hero stories, particularly ones about street level superheroes is a matter of scale. The hero themselves are able to handle thugs and the lower tier super villains but due to matters of popularity are often forced into situations outside of the scope of their abilities. (Batman being on the Justice League fighting galactic threats is a good example.) What is yall's opinion of this?
  11. So to open up a can of worms: If CoH were to be brought up to today, how much should the game embrace the concept of the multiverse? I know they were doing that back during live with Portal Corp and with Going Rogue, but should more or less be done with the concept? Personally I have a love hate/relationship with multiverses as they provide neat what ifs, but more often than not they often just provide more to keep track of and it can get confusing.
  12. I would want to be able to customize blaster or melee powers to be able to use "tools" to manifest that power. Like being able to give a ice blaster a freeze ray, or to customize fire melee to be able to use a sword all the time. That sort of thing.
  13. Honestly good on OP for finding their own fun. Sometimes old games like this allow for spaces to make the game your own in interesting ways, just look at all the challenge runs people still do for old school titles. For me a lot of fun in being a hero is roleplaying being the hero, if I see a text balloon from a NPC in peril, I will stop what I am doing and swoop in to save the day. Being a villain, I enjoy doing missions that fill my personal story for my character. At the end of the day find your passion, and if CoH lets you do that, then thats all the better!
